That's allowed Rochdale to move into second place after they secured a comfortable 4-1 win against Wrexham. Burnley are just a point behind those two clubs now and only two points behind leaders Port Vale and we are in with an excellent chance of winning this league.
Oldham, right behind us before weekend, were also losers as they went down to Walsall but the team to watch right now is Preston. After a dreadful start to the season they have seriously picked up and won twice on three days. Having beaten Wigan on Saturday they picked up another three points two days later against Bury.
Preston are our next opponents this coming Saturday at their Springfields training ground. We need to get yesterday's cup defeat against struggling Tranmere out of the system. A win would certainly lift us at least one place with Rochdale having no game.
