It's the East Lancs derby

Last updated : 23 October 2015 By Tony Scholes

Once again all the Burnley fans in the sell out away end will be forced to travel by bus for this fixture with the transport leaving from five locations to get them into Ewood Park on time.

The team, meanwhile, go into the game having ended Tuesday night's game on a high with that dramatic late equaliser from Matt Taylor, his third Burnley goal this season.

Tom Heaton is looking for another Ewood win

Captain Tom Heaton, who was in the winning side there two seasons ago, said this week. "We're fully aware what it means to the town, the fans and to us.

"A big thing for me was the feeling in the dressing room in the first season, home and away. There was a lot of emotion there which was good. That's the sort of thing that you want. It's great. It's brilliant and the sort of game that you want to be involved in.

"The first one that I played in at Turf Moor was good for me. The atmosphere was incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Obviously beating them at Ewood was fantastic.

"It was a massive moment for me. The feeling was incredible when Jason Shackell nods one in and Ingsy scores. It was absolutely brilliant. It was a fantastic atmosphere and it's a great place to go and win after 30 odd years."

Heaton added: "We want more of that and it's certainly the aim, so there's a lot of excitement going into it. We're looking forward to it, but while it's a brilliant occasion and it means a massive amount to the players, we've still got to make sure that we put a performance in to give ourselves a chance of winning the game. That result is the most important thing. I'll be delighted if we can win there again."

Heaton will be one of six players who played there in March 2014 who can expect to be in the line up again tomorrow. Michael Duff, Ben Mee, David Jones, Scott Arfield and Sam Vokes should join him with Michael Kightly also in the squad, whilst the four who won't be involved are Kieran Trippier, Jason Shackell, Dean Marney and Danny Ings.

One other involved last time who will be in the Burnley side is Michael Keane. Jones played for Blackburn in the 2012/13 derby at Ewood and Keane, in the following season, made his Blackburn debut in the same fixture.

The team tomorrow certainly won't show much change from the one that drew at Forest but, given the late substitution, maybe Sean Dyche is considering bringing in Matt Lowton at right back. George Boyd is again expected to be ruled out.

If so, we could line up: Tom Heaton, Matt Lowton, Michael Duff, Michael Keane, Ben Mee, Matt Taylor, Joey Barton, David Jones, Scott Arfield, Sam Vokes, Andre Gray. Subs: Matt Gilks, Tendayi Darikwa, Stephen Ward, Fredrik Ulvestad, Michael Kightly, Rouwen Hennings, Chris Long.

Last Time We Were There

I don't think too many Burnley supporters need reminding of what happened last time we played at Ewood. Should you do so, click HERE for the match report, HERE for one of the guest reports from Matt Evans and HERE for the second of them from Kieron Duxbury.

And there's a reminder below.
