It was the North West League that came out on top in those six cross-league games, with four wins and two defeats. Carlisle, Preston, Shrewsbury and Wigan were all winners against Lincoln, Hartlepool, Mansfield and Burton while the only losers were Burnley and Rochdale who went out to Doncaster and Rotherham.
Wrexham won the all North West clash against Walsall with Notts County winning the all North East game against Oldham.
We're back to the league action this week with the young Clarets travelling to Wigan. We will go into the game two points behind them although they do have a game in hand.
