The under pressure manager has seen his side make a poor start in the Conference after losing their Football League status last season with things going from bad to worse.
Goalkeeper Paul Crichton, another one of his former Burnley players, has been suspended after verbally abusing the fans during last Saturday’s defeat at Gravesend and second choice goalkeeper Chris Porter was sent off in midweek as they went down again, this time at home to Accrington Stanley.
Harrison has finally signed non-contract forms and that will enable him to play tomorrow in their away match at Dagenham & Redbridge. He’s been training with York during the pre-season since leaving his post with the Football in the Community team at Turf Moor.
The 32-year-old defender played over half the games for Leigh last season before illness ruled him out of the run in, his last game was at Halifax at the beginning of May. He’ll be hoping to make an impression with the Minstermen in the hope of winning himself a contract.
