Carlisle get first win and Rochdale go second

Our result at Ashton United against Rochdale has seen us drop to third in the table with Rochdale going above us, and with no game this weekend there is no immediate chance to go back up.

It was also the day when Blackpool recaptured their form. A 100% record has been lost recently with a league defeat to Oldham and then going out of the cup last week against an inspired Burnley side. Saturday saw them bang in form again with a 6-2 win at Accrington.

Carlisle had remained the only side without a win and were joint bottom of the table. They are usually a reasonably strong team at this level and they finally got this season moving with a win over Morecambe in the game between the two most northerly sides.

The only other game scheduled was the one between Bury and Oldham but that fell victim to the weather.

It's our turn to miss out again this week in what is a full fixture list and our next game comes the week after when we travel to Wigan for the third round tie in the Youth Alliance Cup. Our next league game is at Preston on 4th December.
