We've got Robbie Blake

Rumours have persisted for some time that we have been interested in bringing him back to Turf Moor, even during the 2005/06 season when Blackwell's Leeds were heading for the play offs. It's all changed there now, and instead of heading for the play offs they headed for League One, administration, and an amazing few weeks that has left Bates and Wise currently still in charge of the club.

Steve Cotterill has always admired his talents and back in January 2005 when we sold him to Birmingham he said: "I am very sad and disappointed to be losing such a good player, but you cannot begrudge him that chance of playing in the Premiership."

Now he's been able to bring him back to Burnley in a deal that has cost us £250,000 (which could rise to £350,000) and he becomes Steve's third summer signing following on from Gabor Kiraly and Besart Berisha. For many, many Burnley fans he is one of the best players they've ever seen in a claret & blue shirt, other than those occasions when he played in the divers boots.

I know he's had some stick when he's played for Leeds against us in the last couple of seasons but I'm sure most Burnley fans will be as delighted as I am with this news, and if Burnley Football Club want to get in touch then I'll be down there in a shot to roll out the red carpet for him.

Welcome back Robbie.
