He's included Stephen Ward in his provisional squad of 39 and it is expected he'll be in the final squad when it is shortened ahead of them reporting on 9th November.
Ward, one of only two Burnley players to feature for the Republic of Ireland, the other being Keith Treacy, returned to the national team for their win against Germany at the Aviva Stadium earlier this month.
It was his 30th cap, and his sixth since joining Burnley, but his first for eleven months because of the injury he sustained last season.
They will be looking to join England, Northern Ireland and Wales in the finals and face the first leg in Zenica on Friday 13th November with the second leg to come at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin three days later.
