The ever popular Clarets’ skipper won his full international cap last week in England's Euro warm-up game against Australia.

The Chester-born goalkeeper became the first Claret to win a full England cap since Martin Dobson achieved the feat in 1974.

Heaton has now represented England from Under 16 all the way through to full international honours.

Burnley fans' favourite Tom, could now be the first Burnley player to make an appearance for England at a major tournament since goalkeeper Colin McDonald played all four games in the 1958 FIFA World Cup.

England kick off their group games against Russia on Saturday, June 11, followed by Wales on Thursday, June 16, and Slovakia on Monday, June 20.

Heartiest congratulations to Tom, from everyone at Clarets Mad. (TEC)
