The Champions are there

From Jimmy McIlroy to Brian Miller, from goalkeeper Adam Blacklaw to Trevor Meredith, the scorer of the winning goal on that glorious night at Maine Road some 47 years ago. All of them have now been added in the latest group that has taken the total number of players in the section past the 400 total.

Other top players are in this group too, top strikers Willie Irvine and Andy Lochhead along with Ralph Coates from the team that reached Europe in the mid-60s and a young Geordie by the name of Stan Ternent who returned to the club some years later with great success.

Other pages in the section have been updated too today, those of Graham Branch and Michael Ricketts who have signed deals with Accrington Stanley and Oldham Athletic respectively.

It leaves just another 60 players to go, to take us to the beginning of the first post-war season of 1946/47 and it is intended that will be complete within the next week.
