Sam Vokes set to create Clarets' history

It's been an incredible qualifying tournament for the Welsh who have now qualified for the finals of a major tournament for the first time since 1958. Vokes, who missed a year with his cruciate ligament injury, has played his part featuring as a substitute in five of the games including tonight's when he replaced Joe Ledley in the 75th minute to win his 36th cap.

The defeat has seen then drop into second place but Cyprus beating Israel in Jerusalem means the Welsh are through without needing any points from their home game against Andorra in Cardiff in the final game.

England, Northern Ireland and Wales through and maybe the Republic of Ireland too, for whom Stephen Ward has been left out of the next match due to his lack of game time with Burnley.

But I'm sure Burnley fans will have a special eye on Wales next summer to see if Sam can become the first current Burnley player to feature in the finals of this particular competition.

The Internationals feature has been updated to include Sam Vokes' appearance tonight.
