Redfearn and Clements pay the price.

Neil Redfearn and Paul Clements are the latest victims of the notoriously fickle Championship managerial Merry-go-Round. Rotherham United have today parted company with manager Neil Redfearn. Chairman Tony Stewart offering condolences for sacking Redfearn, was quoted as saying: "It is with a heavy heart that we've parted company with Neil (Redfearn) today. As we all know football is a results driven business and with 16 games to go our aim has to be to retain our Championship status." Rotherham suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, a result which plunges them deep into relegation trouble.

Likewise, Paul Clements got the axe at Derby County as the Rams promotion charge stalls. Recently beaten by fellow promotion contenders Burnley 4-1, the writing was no doubt on the wall after an inept display at Craven Cottage on Saturday which ended in a 1-1 draw with Fulham. Darren Wassall the club's Academy Manager has already been put in charge of the Rams faltering promotion campaign until the end of the season.

Perhaps other Championship clubs need to take a leaf out of the Claret's philosophy and allow the manager the time to complete his job?
