The speculation appears to be wide of the mark as Paterson looks forward to an injury free season at Turf Moor. He signed a one year extension to his contract last summer, leaving him with two years remaining on his existing deal, and he's hoping to make up for a disappointing 2010/11 season that saw him injured in pre-season and spend just about the entire season injured.
Pompey boss Steve Cotterill made a move for him some weeks ago but that was rebuffed by the club. And he's made another move for him that is believed to be worth around £1.5 million which would, if taken, represent a small profit.
