Former Burnley striker Andy Gray will be staying with Barnsley next season after agreeing a one year extension to his contract yesterday.
It's three and a half years since Gray's acrimonious departure from Turf Moor when he made the move to Charlton in a deal worth up to £2 million. Things didn't work as planned there as Charlton suffered relegation in his only full season at the Valley whilst he suffered personal problems.
Still, he finished the season by turning up to Wembley to support the Clarets before moving back north with Barnsley. Gray will be looking to get on the scoresheet early next season; he's just two short of having scored a hundred league goals.
