Following a recent and very constructive meeting I had with James Forsyth, the Burnley Football Club Head of Retail and his more than capable cohort Glynn Clark, I am delighted to announce a bit of a “Brucie Bonus” for Clarets Madders!
James was recruited about a year ago to inspire a new vision for purchasing, stocking and retailing, Burnley Football Club approved merchandise. It is difficult to argue that significant progress is clearly being made on this front? A customer recently walked into the Turf Moor temporary store and walked out again soon after; following the purchase of over £700.00 worth of shop stock. That is a new individual consumer spending record at the store and one I am certain, will take some beating. I don’t know about anyone else but on a personal note I have in the past, struggled to part with a tenner!
Glynn Clark has been on the payroll of Burnley Football Club for nigh on two years now. Glynn is the manager of the Clarets “Downtown” store in Burnley town centre. You can always buy his wares from the caravan on Harry Potts Way on match days from the man himself. Glynn rolls his sleeves up and sells, sells, sells! We had a right laugh! I discovered that I had bought three different Burnley “Gnomes” for my garden from him. The cheeky so-and-so during our meeting, then tried to sell me the newly launched matching Bertie Bee garden “gnome”. I’m having it at the next home match! Please don’t tell Glynn, it’s my surprise.

NEWS FLASH: Glynn Clark, the Retail Sales Manager of Burnley Football Club has today revealed a special "half term" players appearance will be held at the Charter Walk Store, tomorrow at 2:30pm. (18.02.2016).
Matthew Lowton and Ben Mee will both be appearing and are more than willing to meet any Claret Madders for a photo and signing opportunity.
Claret Madders can also take advantage of the many sale products in-store including half price away kits (get the shirt signed for free!!) and many bargain priced tee shirts.
It should be a great event for the younger Clarets supporters. I hope to go along myself and meet other fellow Madders tomorrow with camera in hand. I might even manage to get Ben and Matt to sign my new Bertie Bee Gnome!
