Let's have a Claret and Blue carnival at the Millwall game

Fill the Cricket Field Stand with Claret and Blue
The first of these was the ‘Bring a scarf to the Turf' for the full house £5 Grimsby game back in November and then we introduced ‘Wear your colours with pride' for the last game of the season against Coventry as we fought for a place in the play offs.

Both campaigns were introduced less than a week before the game but we are now announcing our next, three months in advance. On Tuesday 17th September we entertain Millwall in what will be a home fans only game brought about because of the scandalous decision by the Millwall club and the Metropolitan police.

The Club have already said that the Cricket Field Stand will be open for home supporters for this game and Clarets Mad intend this game to be our Claret and Blue Carnival with hopefully all sides of the ground full to capacity.

Could we ask Burnley Football Club to consider the following:

  • Allow current season ticket holders to transfer for this game into the Cricket Field Stand, the home of the Clarets' singing area during the wonderful days of the 1960s.
  • Have an unreserved seating policy in the Cricket Field Stand for this fixture if possible although accepting that this would cut the capacity.
  • Reduced admission as was done with the Grimsby Town game last season.

And could we ask all supporters attending the game to wear as much Claret and Blue as possible at the game. Make it as intimidating as possible for the Millwall team, albeit not in the same way as away players are intimidated at the New Den.

And let's turn the game into a

Claret and Blue Carnival
