Lafferty loan extended

Lafferty made his Rotherham debut two days after the move, playing in a 2-0 win at Huddersfield in a Yorkshire derby. He's gone on to make three further appearances in games that have all ended in defeat for the Millers who are currently in 21st place in the Championship with a five point gap above Wigan, one place below.

Evans told the Sheffield Star: "He's a level headed boy, a quiet boy by nature, although he's not quiet on the pitch," and with Lafferty on international duty he's been on to Burnley regarding the loan.

He added: "It would be hard to go and find another player as good as him, at this stage of the season, who's not in someone's first team. I was really pleased when the Burnley manager, Sean Dyche, rang me and followed up on my request and said we'd extend the loan."

Having played for Northern Ireland last week against Scotland at Hampden Park, he's expected to go straight back into the Rotherham team at Birmingham this Saturday.
