Brian McDermott replaced Warnock in April 2013 and actually survived for over a year but the writing was already on the wall for the former Reading boss who had already been sacked once before Massimo Cellino took control of the club.
Since assuming control, this lunatic Italian has sacked McDermott and gone on to sack Dave Hockaday, Darko Milanic, Neil Redfearn and today Uwe Rösler who was appointed during the summer. I suppose, to have been in charge for 11 league games should be considered some achievement.
It gets better. The news coming out of Yorkshire is that Steve Evans, recently sacked at Rotherham, has taken training and is now expected to become the latest puppet in the role.
This was intended to be a report on the games played in the Championship over the weekend. Leeds were worthy of a mention in any case. Having been beaten by a Bobby Zamora goal late in the game against Brighton it left them still looking for their first home win of the season. Eventually it will come but for Rösler there will never be the experience of a home win in charge.
They and Preston are the only two sides without a home win this season so Evans, who can claim one as Rotherham boss, is a good choice. He'll certainly add some weight to the technical area.
Leeds are the third club to change manager this season following on from Brentford and Rotherham. Given Cellino's record they could also be the fourth and fifth.
Leeds fan Lucas Monk, on web site To Ell And Back, has suggested that new boss Evans has little chance. "With Cellino at the help we could have Guardiola as manager and he'd struggle", whilst Right in the Gary Kelly's, another Leeds fan site, they have highlighted the condemnation of Cellino via Twitter. One describes Evans as a fat muppet but another has accused Cellino of making his club a laughing stock. I thought Ken Bates and the moneyless group who replaced him had done that; Cellino has just taken it to another level.
Elsewhere, Bristol City got their first home win of the season to kick start the weekend fixtures. Two early Aaron Wilbraham goals were enough to see off Nottingham Forest at Ashton Gate. Steve Cotterill admitted after the game that his side had played better against us but lost 2-0. It was 2-1 Steve, you scored in the last minute remember?
Wilbraham missed a good chance for a hat trick but not as good as the one Derby's Chris Martin missed yesterday, failing to score from the penalty spot when he'd already got two. It didn't matter; Derby scored from the resulting corner and went on to beat Wolves 4-2. Wolves looked very poor defensively but Derby did play well.
With all the fixtures played, Brighton lead the way with 25 points, four ahead of the next four clubs which includes us. Down at the bottom, the three clubs in the relegation places are now Rotherham, Preston and Bolton who all have eight points.
