We'd like to send our best wishes to former Burnley manager Stan Ternent who is celebrating his 65th birthday today.

But it is just a couple of weeks over thirteen years since he told us his team would show endeavour, commitment, a will to win and an excellent level of fitness.
He also said, and they are words that are worth repeating: "I think togetherness is important. I would ask the fans to get behind the players and the staff at the club. Together, that's the word, because together we've got a chance."
It's now seven years since he left the club, and he currently scouts for Sunderland, the club he supported before joining Burnley as a player. Seven years, yet he's still as popular with the fans as he ever was and I'm sure they'll all be joining us in wishing him a good day.
I think he'll enjoy today; a blind man on a galloping horse can see he will.
Happy Birthday Stan.
