That news has today been confirmed by Burnley Football Club and Graham Alexander is no longer our player bringing to an end to almost four years as a Claret since signed in August 2007.
It's six months since he last started a game for Burnley, that against QPR on 16th January, and it was just a matter of substitute appearances after that as the club decided to get him up to 1,000 games.
Players come and players go, there's no doubt about that, and there is no player who can go on forever. Even so it is a sad day in so many ways that Grezza is no longer with us and I would like to wish him all the very best in whatever he chooses to do next in his career.
