The club reported yesterday that he'd sustained a knee injury with Sean Dyche suggesting it looked a bad one. My first thoughts were that it might be yet another ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
However, the broken ankle has now been confirmed with Dyche saying: "It's a shame for Jason, but he's in good hands and he'll have an operation in the next few days and be looked after well by our physio team.
"Naturally, he will be sidelined for a period of time, but we wish him well in his recovery."
So, a bad injury, but not as bad as feared. Hopefully Jason will be back playing soon.
