Ex-Pilgrim is guest

Graham Coughlan will be in the Clarets' side for the second time tonight, facing the club he left just under two years ago, and the half time guest is Peter Swan who made the move from Home Park to Turf Moor in the summer of 1995 for a £200,000 fee.

He'd played for Leeds, Hull and Port Vale before signing for Plymouth in 1994. His departure after one year came immediately after the appointment of Neil Warnock as manager following a relegation and Jimmy Mullen brought him to Turf Moor as a replacement for the departed Steve Davis.

He played around half the games over the next two seasons before moving on again, this time to Bury and to rejoin Stan Ternent his former manager at Hull, but again it was a short stay and again it was Neil Warnock who sold him to Burnley where he once again rejoined Ternent.

His second spell at Burnley was cut short because of injury and he was never able to establish himself in the team. Just four months after returning to the Turf he'd made his last start. He did make some substitute appearances but moved on to York although he was forced to end his career not long after signing for them.
