Eagles set for the Valley

Released by Bolton at the end of last season, he turned down an opportunity last summer to join Charlton and was without a club until joining Blackpool on a two month deal in November. He played seven games for them, scoring one goal which came in a 2-2 draw at Charlton, but lost his place in the side after a home draw against Rotherham at the end of December.

Blackpool manager Lee Clark said at the end of the two months that the money would be used elsewhere leaving Eagles looking for a club as the deadline approached.

Again a free agent, he's expected to complete a move to Charlton, They are currently in 18th place in the Championship and six points clear of third from bottom Millwall, this something of a slump after they started the season well with no defeats in the first eleven games.

It is thought they could bring in more than one new player in the next two days to boost their squad.

Eagles enjoyed three seasons at Burnley, arriving in the summer of 2008 ahead of our promotion season before moving, alongside Tyrone Mears, to Bolton ahead of the 2011/12 season. He made a total of 120 league appearances for the Clarets, scoring 21 goals.
