Michael Keane was the player previously to be selected after he scored and turned in another excellent defensive performance against Bristol City two weeks earlier, but now it is the turn of Darikwa who is currently leading the man of the match vote on Clarets Mad.

The Football League said: "Burnley recorded a third straight success in the Sky Bet Championship with Darikwa turning in a Man of the Match display against Sheffield Wednesday.

"The full back impressed going forward and performed his defensive duties admirably with the Clarets recording a 3-1 win to move up to fifth.

The Championship have provided the most players for the team this week. Five of the eleven selected were in Championship action and it includes the two hat trick stars of the weekend, Orlando Sa of Reading and Birmingham's Clayton Donaldson.

Leagues One and Two share the other positions in the team with three players each.
