Clarets face Burton Albion at home in Carling Cup

That FA Cup tie was Eddie Howe's first home game in charge of the Clarets as well as being his first cup tie in charge, and now he faces the same opposition in his next home cup tie.

Burton Albion had a difficult second half to last season and at one time were threatened with a return to non-league football, but they ended the season with a run of six games without defeat including draws against Torquay and Accrington, two sides who reached the play offs.

The game will be played in week commencing 8th August and is almost certain to go ahead on the Tuesday 9th.
