Chappy, Galvin and McDonald

Chappy has signed for Doncaster

Two of them, Richard Chaplow and Evan Galvin, have moved to new clubs after being released by Millwall and Burnley respectively at the end of last season whilst Kevin McDonald looks set to be on the move again.

Chappy ended last season on loan at Ipswich but on his return to Millwall was released. Yesterday, the now 30-year-old signed a two year contract with Doncaster and trained with them for the first time ahead of a training camp in Portugal.

He confirmed the news himself via Twitter saying he was delighted to have signed ad was looking forward to the challenge ahead, pushing on and having a successful season.

It's over ten years since he last played for us; his last game being the 2-0 home win in the FA Cup 4th round against Bournemouth. He's since played for West Brom, Southampton and Preston as well as Millwall and Ipswich.

He's not just an ex-Claret, he's actually one former player for whom the chant of 'Always be a Claret' is very appropriate having been a season ticket holder prior to him joining the club. I wish him well at his new club.

And it is best wished too to Evan Galvin who was released by us at the end of last season following three years at the club, two as a scholar and one as a professional in the development squad.

Evan, like Chappy, tweeted that he was delighted to be joining a new club. Back in his native Ireland he's signed for Waterford United and he said he was looking forward to working under Roddy Collins, the former Carlisle manager.

Kevin McDonald is still with Wolves but it has looked increasingly likely recently that he's looking for a move to Fulham. The London club have had two offers rejected by Wolves and are expected to go back in with a further bid for the midfielder who left Sheffield United for Wolves in difficult circumstances two years ago.

In a recent interview, McDonald, who has one year remaining on his contract, said that Wolves had offered him a contract that didn't really indicate to him that they wanted to keep him. He added that he would re-sign for them if the offer was right. It seems he's also upset some Wolves fans by describing Fulham as a huge club.

The last Fulham offer was rejected last week for the Scottish under-21 international who has enjoyed two successful seasons at Molineux since that move from Sheffield United in August 2013.
