Cahill becomes third loan signing

The youngster is yet to make his debut for Villa but has already donned the white of England and made his debut in the Under-20 side that beat the Dutch last month when Richard Chaplow scored the only goal of the game at Huddersfield.

He’s a regular in the reserve team at Villa Park but is all set to get a first glimpse of first team football after being cleared by Villa boss David O’Leary to play in the Carling Cup against Spurs tomorrow night. I think we can confirm that Villa are out of the competition.

So with the numbers depleted he goes straight into Steve Cotterill’s squad as we look to get a team out on the field for the tie.

The 6ft 2ins, Sheffield born, central defender has signed for the Clarets on a one month loan deal.
