Burnley want Bartley Mark II

Bartley made his Arsenal debut in a Champions League game against Olympiacos in December 2009 but is still to play league football for them, and that remains his only first team appearance for the Gunners.

He has been out on loan three times. He joined Sheffield United in February 2010 for the rest of the season and such was his success there that he rejoined the Blades at the start of last season, again on loan. In total he played 37 times for the Blades but missed both games against Burnley last season.

A broken cheekbone kept him out of the 3-3 draw at Bramall Lane whilst new manager Micky Adams opted not to use him in the Turf Moor game on New Year's Day when Burnley won 4-2.

He left Sheffield United at that point, requesting to be released because Adams had other plans. He moved to Rangers and played seven times for them before his loan was curtailed with a knee ligament injury.

Now Eddie Howe is reportedly keen to bring him to Turf Moor with Crystal Palace also waiting in the wings.
