Nelson are one of four local teams in the league and are currently in 11th place in the Premier Division. They face a Maine Road side who are three places below them in the table, and are looking to push further up the table in their last four games of the season.

Their squad includes three former Burnley youth players, goalkeeper Ben Woodhead and defender Ben Hoskin alongside winger Matt O'Neill who made some first team appearances for the Clarets just over a decade ago.

Nelson have built up a very good relationship with Burnley and, as such, will admit any Burnley supporter to this game free of charge on production of their season card.

Chief executive Adam Keizer said: "We have a fantastic relationship with Burnley Football Club and so I'm delighted to be able to offer all Burnley season ticket holders free entry for this week's league match against Maine Road.

"It might not be the same standard as seen in the Premier League but it's honest, full blooded local football with all the thrills and spills football fans love to watch, and without costing an arm and a leg.

"It's a great chance to reward Burnley FC fans and also a chance for them to support local non-league football took so hopefully we get plenty down for what should be a great match."

I'm always pleased to hear of our club having such relationships with the local non-league clubs and Clarets Mad, who are supporters of the annual Non League Day, are always happy to promote these local clubs.

Nelson's ground is at Victoria Park, Lomeshaye Way, Nelson, BB9 7BN.
