Archie Love scored Burnley's first

Burnley were inable to get back to winning ways following the defeat to Preston a couple of weeks ago and this time went down 4-2 to a Bury side who have also started the season well.

We were 2-0 down at half time but had a great chance to come back into the game soon after the break form the penalty spot. Unfortunately, leading scorer Shay McCartan hit the bar from the spot and just ten minutes into the half the game was taken away from the Clarets with Bury's third.

An Archie Love on the hour gave us some hope but it was Bury's game when Alex Mullin could only turn a cross past Josh Cook into his own goal.

Mullin did make amends with a goal at the other end for Burnley's second but there was never any real hope of a comeback.

The teams was: Josh Cook, Aryn Williams, Alex Coleman, Jack Errington, Luke Conlan, Alex Mullin, Steven Hewitt, Archie Love, Adam Evans (Will Kinder 65), Shay McCartan, Jason Gilchrist (Lewis Nuttall 65). Subs not used: Callum Jakovlevs, Tom Anderson.
