Errington moves closer to a return

I last saw Jack play in a pre-season friendly at Alfreton last summer but he's been through a traumatic period since when he faced heart surgery for an enlarged aorta.

The surgery was a complete success, he's been back at the club for a few weeks now and today has been named as a substitute, and I'm sure, being a Newcastle supporter, he'll be keen to get on and play some part in this game against their big rivals.

There are places in the squad also for five players who have now returned from loans. Cameron Howieson, who has been at Doncaster, Steven Hewitt (Alfreton) and Luke Gallagher (Droylsden) all start with both Shay McCartan (Hyde) and Jason Gilchrist (Droylsden) on the bench.

Also back in the reckoning is Tom Anderson. His loan at Hyde was cut short due to a medial ligament injury but he's fit again and, like Errington, is named as a substitute.

Burnley will line up: Trialist, Aryn Williams, Archie Love, Alex Coleman, Luke O'Neill, Steven Hewitt, Luke Gallagher, Trialist, Cameron Howieson, Trialist, Wes Fletcher. Subs: Callum Jakovlevs, Joe Jackson, Tom Anderson, Jack Errington, Nathan Lowe, Shay McCartan, Jason Gilchrist, Trialist.

There is no news of the Sunderland team which is expected to be under the charge of former Claret Kevin Ball.
