West Ham was best away win

And so it proved with those three games capturing almost 90% of the vote.

Preston was always going to be up there. It wasn't a brilliant performance but, as was the case with the other two, we came from behind to win it with Jay Rodriguez getting a first half equaliser before Jack Cork's superbly headed winner in front of the Burnley fans in the last few minutes.

It was always going to be up there because it was Preston. It was the local derby last season and there was even more pleasure given Preston's position in the league as we pushed Phil Brown's team ever closer to the Championship's trap door.

The challengers had to be Hull and West Ham, two of the more recent wins. These are the two games I missed recently and I had to endure the nerve ending last few minutes of the game via radio commentary.

At Hull I was praying for us to hang on after David Edgar's brace and clawed back a two goal deficit only for Jay Rod to score a late winner. A week later, in what was billed as our toughest game of the season so far, we again came from behind when headers from Chris McCann and Sam Vokes gave us a 2-1 win at West Ham.

It was that West Ham win that came out on top. Throughout the days of the vote the top two switched but in the end the West Ham game was a convincing winner with 38.0% of the vote. Eddie Howe described it as the best result he's had as Burnley manager and I don't think anyone could disagree with that.

Preston took second place with a 30.6% share of the vote whilst the Hull game came in third after winning 19.6%.

Chris McCann's goalscoring return to the team at Derby saw the 4-2 win at Pride Park win fourth place with a 7.3% share of the vote whilst the recent Coventry win secured 2.0%. None of the others were able to claim a 1% share.

So it was West Ham. Hopefully we'll be asking the same question in a year's time with a similar number choices.

Currently the man of the match vote for the Doncaster game us underway. It ends tomorrow and you can enter your vote from the site's front page or from the VOTING POLLS page. Your PLAYER RATINGS can be left on the message board.
