Ings and Vokes had both scored 22 points during the month prior to the Brighton game and neither was able to score the point that would have seen them win it outright as the Sussex club's defensive play prevented either of them from adding to their goal tally.
It's a first for Ings but Vokes has already won the award in three successive months in September, October and November.
It was defenders on top for the Brighton game. Right back Kieran Trippier won the man of the match with 39.0% of the vote and goalkeeper Tom Heaton came in second with a 23.4% share. Michael Duff took third place with 12.7% and 9.3% of the vote was enough to give Dean Marney fourth place.
The top two switched positions in the player ratings. Heaton was top with a rating of 8.33 out of 10, just above the 8.10 rating secured by Trippier. Marney was third with a rating of 6.73 and Ben Mee, back in the side at left back after injury, was fourth. His rating was 6.63 out of 10.
Both Heaton and Trippier won eight points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year. Marney collected three points, there were two points for Duff and one for Mee.
