It ended in a 1-1 draw with both goals coming in the fourth minute and it is Ben Mee's performance that was highlighted with him winning both the man of the match vote, his second of the season after winning it for the Port Vale game, and the player ratings.
He was a reasonably comfortable winner of both, beating Joey Barton to second place. He polled 38.1% of the vote compared to the 25.2% picked up by Barton.
Tendayi Darikwa was third with a 10.6% share with Michael Duff taking fourth place having won 6.4% of the vote.
Mee's player rating was 7.64 out of 10, with Barton just behind with 7.27.
This time the next two places were taken by Andre Gray and Tom Heaton who had ratings of 7.12 and 7.06 out of 10 respectively.
This result gives Mee ten points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with six points for Barton, two each for Darikwa and Gray and one for both Duff and Heaton.
It's certainly tightening up at the top of the table now with Gray, in fifth place, only fifteen points behind Michael Keane who is just three points ahead of Darikwa at the top of the league.
