Ings and Wallace top the Birmingham poll

Ings it was who won the man of the match, polling 34.3% of the vote, just ahead of Wallace who took second place with a 32.1% share. No other player reached double figures and the next two places went to midfielders Dean Marney and Chris McCann who had 7.5% and 5.2% of the vote respectively.

Three of those players took also took the top three places in the player ratings. This time it was Wallace on top with a rating of 8.20 out of 10. He came out ahead of Ings and McCann who took second place with ratings of 7.20 and captain Jason Shackell was fourth with a rating of 6.80 out of 10.

The result means both Ings and Wallace receive eight points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year. McCann picks up four points, there are two points for Marney and one for Shackell.

It means Charlie Austin still has a 33 point lead at the top of the table from Lee Grant who is now two points clear of Marney who has moved clear into third place.

Voting continues for the man of the match from the Boxing Day win against Derby and will continue until the end of tomorrow with the Leicester man of the match starting on Sunday.
