Gray had an excellent all round game, causing the Bolton defence no end of troubles, and got his just desserts with two second half goals to ensure we collected all three points. And that performance has won him both the man of the match vote and the player ratings.
He polled 42.7% of the man of the match vote, ahead of back to form Scott Arfield who, back in his favoured wide position, had his best game of the season and virtually had two assists. He won 28.8% of the vote with third and fourth places going to Michael Duff and Joey Barton with 11.3% and 3.6% shares respectively.
Again it was Gray and Arfield taking the first two places in the player ratings. Gray scored a rating of 8.23 out of 10 with Arfield behind with 7.73. Goalkeeper Tom Heaton took third place with a rating of 7.33 with Duff just behind with 7.30 out of 10 which won him fourth place.
That's the maximum ten points for Gray towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with Arfield winning six points and three for Duff, two for Heaton and one for Barton.
Those points have moved Duff within 15 points of Michael Keane who remains in second place with Tendayi Darikwa remaining top a further six points ahead.
