Grant kept a clean sheet, his 11th of the season, and his performance included one save from Danny Haynes which was from the top drawer. Even so, he had to settle for third place in the man of the match vote.
That was won by new signing Alexander Kačaniklić who won it with 18.2% of the vote, just ahead of Austin who picked up a 17.2% share. Grant had 15.3% and just below in joint fourth place were David Edgar and Kevin Long who both polled 13.9% of the vote.
The result in the player ratings was completely different. Grant was the winner here with a rating of 8.42 out of 100 on a day when nine of our players registered a rating of seven or above.
Martin Paterson, who had his best game in some time, was second. His rating was 7.95 and below him were Long, in third place with 7.74 and Austin who took the fourth place and his rating was 7.58 out of 10.
The result gave Grant the most number of points. He picked up seven with Kačaniklić getting five debut points. There were also four points for Austin, 3 for both Long and Paterson and one for Edgar.
The battle between goalkeeper and goal scorer at the top of the player of the year table could not be closer with Austin now holding just a one point advantage over Grant who took advantage of Austin's absence recently.
