We believe there is not a lot wrong

Robinson, who celebrated his 31st birthday last week, has been in charge since becoming the club's seventh manager in May 2010 and he's looking forward to his first trip to Turf Moor tonight.

Speaking ahead of the game, he said: "I'm looking forward to it; it will be a good test for us. I'm taking 10 Academy graduates to the game out of an 18-man squad, that's not trying to play mind game it's just the lack of numbers at the moment.

"It will be an array of changes but we have a philosophy that goes right the way through the Club, even through the youth system, to play the right way and I'm sure they will be able to come in and fit into our style of football."

"I'm expecting a tough Cup tie, I know Eddie Howe very well, and I know he will want to win the game. He's got his chance at Burnley and this is his first full season in charge and he's now starting to shape the team he wants. I know any Eddie Howe team is going to be very difficult to get a result against."

Howe has steered the Clarets through two rounds and is hoping a win tonight will see us recover our form ahead of the league games to come. "After the start to the season we've had we want to try to build some momentum so this game is ideal for us to try and perform and get a result and get the confidence back into the players," the manager said.

"I don't think through performances, but through results. We are probably just lacking that little bit of confidence that separates you from being a good side to being a very good side.

" I think it will come back and it comes back sometimes quicker than you could ever realise. Football can change in an instant. One result can kick-start you and we are hoping that Tuesday can be the catalyst for us to pick up some form and some momentum.

"That's not to say we will under-estimate MK Dons. They are having a very good season. We have seen them ourselves and played against them last year. They are a good side with a good manager so it won't be easy for us, that's for sure."

Howe is keen to see the Clarets progress in the cup and would love to be involved in a run similar to the one that saw us reach the semi-finals three years ago. He added: "I remember watching the games and you could see the momentum within the games and the atmosphere within the crowd.

"They were fantastic games. Seeing that as someone on the outside, I'm very keen to try and recapture that if we can. We believe there is not a lot wrong and we are all pulling together to get the results that the fans want."
