There are things we can tighten up at the back

Derby haven't dropped a point yet, with four wins in four in the league, seven goals scored and only one conceded, and Metgod knows that teams will come fully prepared for a tough game.

"Teams will be trying to stop us playing, and winning, because of this run we're on and it is down to us to find a solution to the things that will be thrown at us. It is a lovely challenge," he said.

"It is absolutely marvellous where we are at the moment and I can assure our fans we will be doing all we can to stay there. Getting where we are is one thing; to stay there is far, far more difficult.

"Burnley will want to be the ones to see us drop our first points of the season and I am sure it will be a very, very good and entertaining game."

Metgod has compared the start to a successful run Derby had during last season. He said: ""If you compare this run of form to our purple patch in October/November last season, we haven't been as fluent as we were then and to be honest it's nice to be winning without the fluency.

"We've looked solid, we aren't giving too many chances away and we're keeping clean sheets, which is always good and gives us great encouragement.

"We've done remarkably well, and that goes to show how far you can get with a bit of honesty and hard work.

I will be the first one to admit that we're still very early in the season, but it is a nice start."

Whilst Derby are without a defeat, Burnley go into the game without a win but Tindall believes that the first win will get the season well and truly underway.

"Once things go our way and we get a couple of positive results and hopefully keep a couple of clean sheets then I'm sure results will be a lot different," Tindall said.

"Confidence is obviously a huge part in anything, certainly in sport, and good results and good performances breed confidence. We're going to go to Derby and try and win the game and perform well because we're more than capable of doing that.

"They've got some leadership within their team, and with a couple of additions it does make them stronger than last year. They've had a terrific start and I'm sure they'll be looking to continue that on Saturday. It'll be our job to put a stop to it. It's a place where we know we can win and we've got to believe that."

Tindall added: "We are scoring goals but there are things we can tighten up at the back. We've got to continue performing the way we performed against Cardiff, which I thought was a more complete performance and if we can perform like that for the rest of the season, and tighten up at the back, we won't be too far off."
