Youths go second

York lead the division and were two goals up after just fifteen minutes and it looked as though it was going to be a difficult morning for the young Clarets, playing without skipper Ryan Townsend who was on duty with the first team.

We got ourselves back into it though and were level by half time with two goals from striker Alex Taylor. And he completed his hat trick in the second period to give us all three points and that takes us within three points of them.

York have completed their fixtures but we have two to play. A win and a draw would now see us win this league with games against Bury (currently 3rd) and Halifax still to come.

The team was:

Michael Hale, Danny Pitham, Gary Carter, Neal Trotman, Paul Scott, Marc Pugh, Darrell Avery (Andy Collins), Adam Jones (Joe Booth), Tom Ince, Alex Taylor, Kyle Lafferty (Rob Henry).
