It got better for Burnley in the second half and with just five minutes gone Dave Lynch pulled one back but a Curtis Woods own goal gave the home side a two goal advantage again.
Just ten minutes into the second half it was 3-2 with Joe Jackson netting but despite a great fight from the Clarets that saw both Shay McCartan and Mehdi Lazaar go close we couldn't find that third goal and it's Grimsby that will travel to play either Dulwich Hamlet or Newcastle in the next round.
