Youth team versus Tranmere game moved to Gawthorpe

We go into the game having lost all of our three games in 2013, at Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup and the two league games against Fleetwood and Oldham. For both of those league games we had a very inexperienced team on duty and it is very much the case again today.

None of the four second year scholars, Luke Conlan, Luke Gallagher, Jason Gilchrist and Cameron Howieson, will feature and first year Evan Galvin is out after his injury in last week's Oldham game was confirmed as a broken ankle.

First year Kevin Ly is also out and that means Terry Pashley goes into the game against the league's bottom club with seven first years and four schoolboys and a further three schoolboys joining goalkeeper Callum Jakovlevs on the bench.

We face a Tranmere team who, until last week, had not won a game all season. They put that one to bed in no uncertain terms with an 8-0 away win against Morecambe and will surely come to Burnley today with some more confidence.

The Burnley team is: Conor Mitchell, Cameron Dummigan, Charlie Holt, Alex Whitmore, Waqas Azam, Luke Daly, Nathan Lowe, Jamie Frost, Lewis Nuttall, Christian Hull, Khius Metz. Subs: Callum Jakovlevs, Andreas Bianga, Brad Jackson, Ntumba Massanka.

Kick off at Gawthorpe is 11 a.m.
