A very young Burnley side went behind in the first half when Fleetwood won a penalty. Goalkeeper Conor Mitchell conceded it. He saved the spot kick but they were able to score from the rebound.
A long range shot ten minutes into the second half doubled Fleetwood's lead and our only response was a late penalty from Lewis Nuttall awarded for a foul on Khius Metz.
