The team would have been weakened with the absence of three players from the squad. Both Kyle Lafferty and Chris McCann stayed at home, they were both in the squad for the first team game against Malaga and are now in Austria.
Also out was Kyle's striker partner Cayne Hanley who has a fracture in his back and we believe it will be around ten weeks before he is back in full training.
This result follows on from the somewhat unfortunate 1-0 reverse at Bury a week last Friday and they now move on to Ramsbottom this Wednesday as they continue their build up to the new season.
