Youth team back in Gawthorpe action

They will take on the Yorkshire side, now coached by former Bury boss Chris Casper, this coming Tuesday at Gawthorpe with the kick off at 12 noon and it is the only home game for the youngsters ahead of the new league season.

As last year they will be heading for Scotland in the following week and will face games against Rangers, Partick Thistle and Motherwell before heading back to England and potentially two away games against academy teams Stoke and Middlesbrough.

The squad this year is 17 strong, made up of 11 second year apprentices and 6 first year apprentices. They are as follows:

Second Years Chris Anderson, Dan Brown, Dil Chaggar, James Craggs, Wes Fletcher, Alex-Ray Harvey, Ben Hoskin, Nik Kudiersky, Matt Lomas, Chris Lynch and Stef Ritchie

First Years Oliver Devenney, Michael King, Dominic Knowles, Danny MacDonald, Jake McEneaney, Liam Newman
