Youth team back at Gawthorpe tomorrow

Hat trick for Ntumba Massanka last season

Having started the season playing at Padiham, Rolls Royce in Barnoldswick, and Nelson, we returned to Gawthorpe for two games in October against Morecambe and Carlisle. Since, the home game against Accrington was moved to the Crown Ground and, had it gone ahead, the game against Port Vale two weeks ago would have been played at Padiham.

Bury are tomorrow's opponents and this is a game between two of the top teams. We go into the game with 27 points from 13 games and in fifth place in the table. Bury are one place higher with one point more but have played a game more than us.

Last season the two games between us went the way of the away teams. In November last year we were beaten 3-1 at home with Callum Richardson scoring our goals, but it was our day when we played the away game with Josh Dolling and Jamal Crawford both scoring alongside a hat trick for Ntumba Massanka in a 5-0 win.

There is no team news as yet but it is likely that Massanka will sit this one out, as he has played today in the development squad. With all of Waqas Azam, Shaun Hobson and Andy Nugent also involved today there might be places in the line up for some of the under-16 players.

The Burnley players will be keen to win this one. Since the defeat at Walsall on the last day of September we haven't dropped a point, winning six out of six to lift us right up close to the league leaders.

Hopefully we'll be able to continue that run with another victory tomorrow.

Kick off at Gawthorpe is 11 a.m.
