Since the last reserve game there have been no less than four players gone out on loan and that leaves Ash Hoskin with a much younger squad than usual. Richard Eckersley, Kevin Long, Kevin McDonald and Wes Fletcher were all involved last time out but are now at Bradford City, Accrington, Scunthorpe and Stockport respectively.

Added to that, Brian Easton is currently in the first team because of the injury to Danny Fox and that means there will be four members of the youth team in the starting line up tonight. Curtis Woods and Ed Williams will occupy the full back positions with Dave Lynch and Ross Wilson in the midfield.

They will play alongside six members of the development squad in front of goalkeeping coach Craig Mawson who continues in goal because of the injury to Ben Woodhead.

The Burnley team tonight is: Craig Mawson, Curtis Woods, Nik Kudiersky, Chris Lynch, Ed Williams, Ross WIlson, Chris Anderson, Dave Lynch, Alex-Ray Harvey, Dominic Knowles, Alex MacDonald. Subs: Josh Cook, Neil Yadolahi, Steve Edwards, Tommy Taylor, Mehdi Lazaar, Joe Jackson.
