Young Clarets face tough home game

Last updated : 23 October 2015 By Tony Scholes

On Monday of this week we sat next to bottom of the league, four points clear of Morecambe and behind Carlisle on goal difference, but the Cumbrians have won twice since, beating Blackpool on Tuesday and Wrexham this afternoon and that leaves Port Vale with two points more than us in that position directly above us.

Our opponents Bury are currently in fourth place, five points behind the leaders Tranmere but with a game in hand. They've won five of their eight games to date with one draw and two defeats.

Last season they took four points from us. We lost the home game 2-0 back in November and in April, in our last away game of the season we were held to a 0-0 draw as Bury closed in on the title which they won in their last game, edging Wigan by one point and a further point ahead of Rochdale in what was, in the end, a three horse race.

Kick off tomorrow is 11 a.m.
