Weather hits Alliance but Wrexham go back on top

It was no surprise, and Burnley's game against Shrewsbury at Gawthorpe was one then fell victim to the snow hit area. Blackpool had avoided the snow and so they were able to play Port Vale but it didn't prove to be a good morning for the home side as Vale went home with a massive 6-0 win.

In the other game played, Rochdale were beaten 3-0 by Chester at Rossendale United's Dark Lane. Chester couldn't make it a double though this afternoon. They were beaten 2-1 in their home game against Wrexham and that's seen the Welsh side go back to the top of the table with a two point lead over Carlisle.

Burnley remain in third place with games in hand on both sides, and things won't get any better this weekend. Both Carlisle (away to Walsall) and Wrexham (home to Oldham) play whilst we are without a game. The fixture originally scheduled for this coming Saturday was away to Stockport but we brought it forward and played it earlier in the season.

We are next in action a week on Saturday when we face Bury at Gawthorpe, kick off 11:00 a.m. From that day we have a league game every Saturday until 25th April and now have another three league games plus the Lancashire FA Youth Cup tie against Bury to fit in.
