Up two places for youth team

Michael King - scored Burnley's winner at Oldham
On a day when surprisingly only two games fell victim to the weather we came from behind to win at Oldham with goals from Joe McKee and Michael King whilst Rochdale, the other team we passed, were beaten 3-0 away to leaders Preston.

That win for Preston took them three points clear at the top again with Walsall, who had caught them a week earlier, going down to defeat at Bury. They now sit three points behind North End who also have a game in hand.

Stockport lost out to the weather and that cost them third place as Wigan moved up one after beating Macclesfield and Carlisle also went above them with a win against Blackpool who are now only off the bottom on goals scored.

Shrewsbury were the biggest scorers of the day with a six hit at Tranmere whilst the other winners on Saturday were Chester who won the non-league and local battle with Wrexham.

There are just two fixtures this week and a full fixture list next week when the Clarets entertain Bury at Gawthorpe.
