Rochdale and Walsall, in third and fourth places, both had wins but Walsall also dropped more points in a draw at Tranmere on Saturday. Neither of them can reach Blackpool now and they will probably have to settle for the places they are in currently.
There's a whole cluster of clubs behind, including the Clarets and it was a week when we didn't play. Our game at Bury last Tuesday was called off; I've just learned that it has been rescheduled for this afternoon, and we had no game on Saturday. Even so, we've remained in seventh place in the league with a points per game of 1.52.
Further down the league there seems to be something of a renaissance at Morecambe who won again, this time at Accrington. They are still bottom but trail Wrexham, a team usually so strong at this level, by just two points.
Will the league be completed? Accrington have now played the least number of games. They still have five remaining with just one scheduled this week. That's on Saturday when we travel to Shrewsbury to play our last away game of the season, after which we finish with a home game against Rochdale a week later.
All the results from last week are below along with this week's fixtures, Burnley's goalscorers this season and the current league table.
